Low Carb Margerita With Collagen

MARGERITA

2- 3 tbsp of freshly squeezed lime juice

2 tbs tequila ( we used black tequila)

2 tbs of low carb simple syrup (recipe below)

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

salt to rim edge of glass

lime wedge

ice

1/2-1 scoop Seva Soul Collagen Powder

LOW CARB SIMPLE SYRUP

1 cup water

1/2 cup of Swerve or Lakanto sweetener

pinch of xanthum gum

Simple Syrup Recipe

Add water and sweetener in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.  Immediately reduce to a simmer and mix well to ensure sweetener is fully dissolved. Add just a pinch of xanthum gum into the liquid and quickly whisk it to avoid any clumps. Let syrup cool and store in a mason jar. 

Margarita Recipe

Use the lime wedge to rim glass edges and dip in a plate of salt.  Fill glass with desired amount of ice.

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker glass and shake well.  We also used a handheld electric frother to ensure all ingredients were mixed well with the collagen. Strain into your glass and garnish with a lime wedge.  Enjoy!
